The B 1 bee (high-speed target) is not matched between (a) and (b), and this results in the shadow effect to the right on (c). Moreover, its high elevation from the background produces an additional shadow effect on the left. The B 2 bee (non-moving target) is correctly matched, but being close to the background, no shadow effect is observed. The B 3 bee (normal-speed target) is half matched and produces a double-shadow effect for the same reasons as B 1.
